Samaritans
Every 90 minutes in the UK, someone dies by suicide. Samaritans set a challenge of producing a powerful winter campaign with two aims. Firstly, to raise much-needed funds so that this amazing charity can continue listening to people in crisis. Secondly, to encourage the nation to break the silence about suicide – the last mental health ‘taboo’ – because talking can save lives.
As a result Break the silence was born. I fully integrated campaign including DRTV, OOH, Direct Mail, Email, Paid Social, PR, Brand Partnerships and Activations.
This campaign has been so successful that we have evolved it each year for the last 3 years. What you see below is where it all started.
