Greenpeace wanted to enter the virtual gifting market – so the Christmas challenge was to take their activism and campaigning work, and Christmas-wrap it in clarity and tangibility. How could my team and I create fun and meaningful virtual gifts and show people how they can change the world?
We invited people to buy ‘a piece of a better world’ for their loved ones – literally showing them a slice of the world that they could help to protect. The shopping journey started with social media ads and included both digital and printable gift certificates for recipients. The cherry on the top – free, downloadable phone wallpaper, reflecting the part of the world they were gifted.
